HEDINBird Control

Compliance

Built to pass procurement review.

Licensing, insurance, safety, and reporting, organized the way your risk and procurement teams need to see it, so approving a new vendor doesn't mean chasing one for paperwork. Everything below is available as documentation on request.

Licensing & permits

Properly authorized for every method we use.

Abatement falconry is performed under a California master falconer license, under which we also operate in Kansas, together with the federal special-purpose permit required to abate species protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

The live capture and exclusion of non-native pest birds (feral pigeons, European starlings, and house sparrows) requires no federal permit, and under controlling California law is exempt from structural pest control licensing. We use no pesticides or toxicants; every method we offer is non-chemical.

License and permit documentation is available on request.

Insurance

Coverage scaled to your contract.

We carry commercial general liability, commercial auto, and umbrella coverage. Rather than work to a fixed limit, we scale coverage to your contract's requirements: if your facility needs higher limits, we raise them for the engagement.

  • Certificates of insurance on request
  • Clients named as additional insured where required
  • Limits adjusted to contract requirements
  • Coverage confirmed before work begins

Workforce coverage

Everyone on your site is covered.

Every person performing work on your site carries workers' compensation coverage or holds a valid state exemption, verified and documented before work begins. Your facility takes on no employment or injury liability for our presence, and we can provide the supporting documentation as part of vendor onboarding.

Safety

Work planned for the environments you run.

Our clients operate live, hazardous, and sensitive sites. We work to that reality: every engagement is planned around the specific conditions of your facility, and we hold to your site's own safety program while we're there.

  • Site-specific method statements and risk assessments
  • Work around energized and industrial infrastructure
  • Protocols for sterile and healthcare environments
  • Compliance with client site inductions and safety rules
  • Appropriate PPE and access training
  • Coordination around live operations and the public

Regulatory & humane compliance

Lawful and non-lethal.

Every method we use is non-lethal and free of pesticides. Where protected species are involved, work is carried out under the appropriate federal and state authority, consistent with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and applicable wildlife regulations. This keeps your facility clear of the legal and reputational exposure that comes with lethal or unpermitted bird control.

Reporting & documentation

The record your compliance team can rely on.

Documentation is where most of this industry falls short, and where we don't. Every service visit produces a clear, consistent report your risk, compliance, and facilities teams can use to show what was done, when, and to what effect.

  • Species, activity, methods, and results per visit
  • Consistent format across every engagement
  • Records retained and available for audit
  • Reporting frequency matched to your program

A sample report is available on request.

Vendor onboarding

We've been through institutional vendor onboarding before and keep the documentation ready. Available on request:
